We underestimated the distance to today's golf course, which turned out to be 98 miles from here near Sarasota. We called in a golf shop near the course and bumped into some English people from Leicester - small world. The golf course itself was worth the trip as it was quite undulating with lots of water- we were not quite sure if there would be bunkers or water over the hills; the greens were not the best and a bit slow and bobbly. We played with a couple from Rochester, New York State - Tom and Sally, Tom is a State Supreme Court judge and the Sally a retired elementary school teacher - again interesting people who were good company on the golf course. They finished after 13 holes but we kept going until the end (for those following the cut and thrust of our golf, Liz won by a country mile!). As is becoming usual there was lots of wild life with a couple of small alligators basking in the sun and lots of birds.
